The Honours Co-ordinators are Dr Edward Watts, Prof Hector Perera and Assoc Prof Geoffrey Loudon, who may be contacted for all enquiries concerning the program. There is also an enquiries form that prospective students are invited to submit.
Fees and Financial Support
Honours students are liable for the Higher Education Contribution Scheme (HECS) and for Macquarie University Student Activity Fees. Further information on HECS is available from the Student Centre on campus.
For an honours program In the Accounting and Finance Department, a limited number of "full” scholarships ($10,000) for full-time study are available on a competitive basis. "Half” scholarships ($5,000) are available to all students accepted into the Honours program for full-time study but who do not receive a “full” competitive scholarship.
Part-time employment as casual tutors in the undergraduate teaching program in Accounting and Finance may also be available, providing further financial support during the Honours year.
Applications
Applications for admission to the Honours program must be lodged at the Student Centre by October 2006. Applications should be discussed initially with the Honours Coordinators or other members of academic staff.
Prospective students are encouraged to fill out the enquiries form so that the Department is aware of your interest. The Department Honours Co-ordinators will receive your details and will contact you to set up a time for further discussion.
