Description
 

This unit aims to convey an understanding of the quantitative and statistical techniques that are frequently used in accounting and financial studies. These techniques require logical reasoning, objective analysis, and inferences based on empirical evidence. Essential statistical techniques, such as probability, sampling, measurement, correlation, regression and hypothesis testing are covered. Use is made of statistical packages to analyse data sets and produce statistical reports.
