Description
This unit focuses on the accounting issues that pertain to the corporate form of organisation operating in the private sector. It commences with an examination of the framework for regulating corporate financial reporting in Australia, then moves to an in-depth study of the requirements for the preparation of financial statements for a group of companies operating under common control. Topics include: accounting for corporate acquisitions; theory and methods of consolidation accounting; consolidated cash flow statements; accounting for company income tax; accounting for foreign operations and corporate insolvency.Announcements
