Description

This unit is concerned with the principles and practices of an internal cost and management accounting system. It focuses on the accumulation of cost and financial data, and the presentation and role of such data in assisting management decisions, particularly decisions concerning product and service output and pricing, and the planning and control of the organisation's manufacturing and non-manufacturing functions. Topics covered include cost concepts for management decisions, cost behaviour determination, cost-volume-profit analysis, job and process order costing methods, budgetary planning and control, standard costing and variance analysis, cost allocation, profit centre management, transfer pricing, and Facultyal performance measurement.
