The reputation of accounting research at Macquarie University has risen dramatically and now rates as number six in Australia behind UNSW, Sydney, Melbourne, Monash and Queensland. This recent ranking was published in a list of the top 24 accounting journals world-wide. The rating is a global ranking with Macquarie University at number 61 in the world.On a ranking of the top 5 journals Macquarie University is number 3 in Australia behind only UNSW and Melbourne, and number 70 in the world on a list dominated by U.S. universities.
