Globalisation and incipient movements of resistance: hegemonic forces and mediating factors

Abstract

The research examines the phenomenon of globalisation in its various guises, and incipient movements of resistance to economic globalisation. It includes a critical examination of role of ideology and hegemony in the exercise of power and control, with a focus on environmental and social accounting in the public sphere.
