The Department of Accounting and Finance in the Division of Economic and Financial Studies at Macquarie University is delighted to host the 7th Annual Conference of the Asian Academic Accounting Association in Sydney, NSW, Australia.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee you are invited to participate in the Association's 2006 Conference which is to be held at the CarltonCrest Hotel, Sydney. The conference will create an environment to network, exchange ideas, share knowledge and pursue other developmental opportunities with colleagues from Australia, Asia and around the world.

Asian Academic Accounting Association

Founded in 1998, the Asian Academic Accounting Association was formed after organizational meetings in Hong Kong and Maui that were attended by academic leaders from several Asian countries. The AAAA's objective is to enhance the quality of accounting education and research in Asia and to foster interaction and fellowship among accounting academics and with accounting professionals, policy makers and regulators.

Macquarie University

Division of Economic and Financial Studies

The Division of Economic and Financial Studies (EFS) offers an innovative, flexible and specialised mix of disciplines within the departments of Accounting and Finance, Actuarial Studies, Business, Economics, and Statistics, together with the Applied Finance Centre, Graduate Accounting and Commerce Centre and the Centre for Japanese Economic Studies.

EFS has enjoyed very strong growth in recent years and is one of the largest commerce/economics divisions/faculties in Australia. Department of Accounting and Finance

With over 3000 equivalent full-time students, 50 academic staff and some 100 adjunct staff, the Department of Accounting and Finance is by far the largest department at Macquarie University.
